Unboxed Church, Camden NJ

Here's the Deal.  We totally believe that church should be fun, church should be cool , and church needs to be a great place where you can get real answers about life.   Making a website that expresses this however can be difficult... or so we thought.

When Pastor Glenn* asked me to take on this project - I told him I have zero web experience - and can hardly use a computer...  He said - "visit this website - review the documentation and then let me know if you feel God is not calling you towards this ministry..."

I came running back to Pastor telling him - OK I hear the call -... Let's do this.

With the assistance of VineHosting staff - we were able to implement a custom template which is a bit more edgy - and speaks to those who are coming into the church...

The designer - Barbara was able to help us with a template that helps people learn more about Unboxed Church.   In approach, Unboxed's  worship is neither "traditional" nor "contemporary" but ancient-future. ancient-future liturgy speaks across generations and draws equally upon ancient (hymns, chant, candles, communion) and techno-modern (alt. rock, art, ambient, projection, video) sources, so there is no need to 'check your culture at the door.' so, come as you are, wear your jeans, show your body art, tote your java, and be @ home spiritually, with God, and among friends.

We are currently adding many of the ministry extensions such as Prayer, Devotionals, Sermon Management, eBible as well as the Community forum.

I am so happy to have these extensions - they help us build relationships.  We do not take attendance and worry about AWA (average worship attendance) at Unboxed...  Instead we work towards having everyone involved be part of a mentoring relationship - this helps build community - and increases the positive impact we can have on the Kingdom.

We are thankful for the ministry of VineHosting and the Foundation for Evangelism... and know the plans they have for the future - will only enhance our ability to do ministry locally and globally.
